Pricing

UTAK is about ₱1,500 a month per outlet, with setup help and extras bundled in. Kassly's full POS is free for one branch; you pay only for the add-ons you switch on, per branch, or ₱2,999 a month for everything. A small shop that only needs the POS pays nothing on Kassly. A restaurant that wants setup done for it may find UTAK's bundle simpler.

BIR status, checked against BIR's own list

UTAK markets itself as a BIR-accredited POS. We checked BIR's official list of accredited CRM/POS software (snapshots dated 25 and 27 April 2026) and did not find UTAK on it. UTAK says it assists each merchant in getting their own BIR Permit to Use. Kassly is not on the list either: Symflo's application is in progress as of 29 September 2026. If this matters to you, ask any vendor what number will print on your receipts, and check the list yourself.

Devices

UTAK runs on Android and iOS tablets and sells hardware packages. Kassly runs on phones, tablets, Windows, Mac and the browser, so you can start with the phone you have.

Beyond food

UTAK focuses on food and beverage and franchises. Kassly covers retail, food and services in one account, with appointments, job orders, commissions and payroll as add-ons.

Choose Kassly if

  • You want to start at ₱0 and add features one at a time, per branch.
  • You run a store or a service business (salon, laundry, repair shop), not only food.
  • You want the till on Android, iPhone, a Windows PC or a Mac, with no hardware package to buy.
  • You need the till to keep working offline. Kassly publishes its window: up to 72 hours.
  • You want purchase orders, suppliers and a loyalty program in the same app.

Choose UTAK if

  • You want a flat fee of about ₱1,500 a month that includes training, menu encoding and a merchant app.
  • You want a free website and online store bundled with the subscription, with PayMongo payments.
  • You run a restaurant and want ingredient-level stock included in the base price.
  • You want a hardware package delivered nationwide and one vendor to call.
  • You want someone to do your BIR paperwork. UTAK says it assists merchants in getting their BIR Permit to Use.
  • You run a franchise. UTAK is a member of the Philippine Franchise Association.

How much is UTAK POS per month?

Is UTAK BIR-accredited?

Is Kassly BIR-accredited?

No. Symflo's application to have Kassly accredited is in progress as of 29 September 2026. Today Kassly produces X/Z readings, summary lists of sales and purchases, and books of accounts, for your records and your bookkeeper.

Can I use Kassly for a restaurant like UTAK?

Yes. Kassly has a kitchen display and tables add-on, recipe costing with ingredient stock, and senior citizen and PWD discounts. It also covers retail and service businesses.
