Loyalty Points

The points balance on a customer record — the rates behind it, what it is worth, and the fact that nothing awards points automatically yet.

On this page

Every customer record carries a Loyalty Points balance. Read this page before you promise points to anyone, because the balance does not yet fill itself in.

Needs the Customer Memory & Promos add-on (₱300 per branch each month), or any bundle that includes it — the same add-on that gives you the Customers page.

Nothing awards points automatically

Completing a sale does not add points to the customer's balance. There is no earn step in the POS, no setting to switch one on, and no background job that grants points when an offline sale syncs. A customer who buys from you every day stays on whatever balance they already had.

There is also no Redeem button. Not in the dashboard, not at the counter.

So in a store running Kassly today, the points column is a display: it shows what is stored against each customer, and it does not move on its own. If your promise to customers is "spend and earn", Kassly is not the thing keeping that count — you would be keeping it by hand.

This page documents the rates and the screens anyway, because they are what the balance means and what the numbers on screen are calculated from.

The rates

Rate Value
Earning 1 point per ₱10 spent, rounded down
Redeeming 1 point is worth ₱0.50

Both are fixed in Kassly. There is no screen to change them, no per-plan or per-product rate, and no multiplier for a promo period.

The earn rate rounds down on the whole sale total, so a ₱749 sale is 74 points and a ₱9 sale is none. The redeem value is what turns a balance into the peso figure shown beside it: 400 points reads as ₱200.00.

Where the balance appears

Screen What it shows
Customers list A Points column, and a With Loyalty Points count at the top
A customer's page The Loyalty Points figure, and a Loyalty History table
The POS customer sheet A Loyalty tile reading "n points" on each customer, and "n pts" beside every search result

Loyalty History lists Date, Type, Points, Value and Notes. Type is either Earned (shown in green with a +) or Redeemed (amber, with a −). The history is a permanent record — rows are never edited or removed, only added.

Points never expire

There is no expiry. No months-of-inactivity rule, no year-end reset, no setting for either. A balance stays exactly where it is until something changes it.

Points are per store

A customer's points belong to the store that recorded them. If you run more than one Kassly business, the same person has a separate profile and a separate balance in each. Branches of the same store share one balance — the points are on the customer, not the branch.

What Kassly does not do here

  • No tiers. There is no Silver / Gold / Platinum, and no automatic type change when someone crosses a threshold.
  • No points-as-payment at checkout. Points are not a tender. The methods you can take are listed in Payments.
  • No points on returns. A refund does not claw points back, because none were granted in the first place.
  • No printed points balance. The receipt does not show a points total. See Receipts.
